Tinto Cao (yes it is hard to say) is a red grape variety from Douro region of Portugal. This fruit driven wine displays rich raspberry and wild flower aromas. The palate features intense blueberries,raspberry and spicy cedar flavours with supple tannins on the finish.Silver medalist at the 2007 Australian Alternative Variety Wine Show. Drink now or will improve with further cellaring for five to eight years. Try it with Lamb shanks with chorizo and white beans,pasta with olives or sun-dried tomatoes.
